John was ten years old and was a very lazy (懒的)boy. He had to go to school every day. He didn’t like school and didn’t want to do much work. His parents were doctors. It was a very hot day in the middle of summer, and there were no trees along the street. Mr. Read had another bad day: for the whole day no one had come to his small shop to buy anything.
