We’re glad that a couple of your students will come to our school for a week of cultural exchange. For your reference, here are the arrangements for the activity.

On your arrival, a welcome ceremony will be held, after which we’ll show you around our school, giving you a brief introduction at the same time. During the next two days, we’ll feel honored to take you to our Olympic Village, appreciating some stadiums and gyms like the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, which can remind you of the glory of the Beijing Olympics. The fourth and fifth day will see you visit some famous places of interest, such as the Summer Place, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall，experiencing the traditional Chinese culture.

Born disabled, Susan was laughed at and denied at school. However, it is such a tough experience that steeled herself, and by practicing singing on different occasions she won world fame due to her powerful voice.

The story of Susan touched me very much. Susan told us not to judge a person from his/her appearance again. No one is born wise and there is no smooth way to success. Only by hard work and perseverance can we achieve our life goal.

A similar experience also occurs to my friend, who had a nickname: wood head. He was always laughed at because he was clumsy in everything he did. So you can imagine how disappointed his parents were when the result of examination came out. Yet, with strong belief, he is consistent in his positive attitude toward life. After he became a senior middle school student, he worked even harder to catch up with others. To him, failure is a motive force to inspire him to go further . Eventually, He was admitted to a famous university of Guangdong last year.

So, we know one’s disadvantage can be driving force in seeking success. It all depends on ourselves. In a word, we should learn the spirit of perseverance from Susan and my friend to achieve our dreams.
